Casey Newton is a genius – a teenage girl as at home hot-wiring tractors and motorcycles as she is with astronomy. Passionate about one day being an astronaut, Casey engages in industrial vandalism, stopping the government’s attempts to dismantle NASA’s rocket launch platform. After being arrested for her crime, Casey finds an unusual pin…and then things start getting strange. When she touches the pin, she finds herself in an entirely different world, a futuristic city of creative beauty and unbelievable technology. Tracing the pin, Casey finds herself in a battle with people who turn out to be robots, in which Casey is saved by a cute little girl, who then strands her outside the home of the mysterious hermit Frank Walker. Frank believes that Casey can save the world from destruction – if he can help her travel to the strange world she has glimpsed: Tomorrowland.

As noted in the content box, Tomorrowland does some contain language some parents might find objectionable. It also has a great deal of intense fantasy violence: human-looking robots are continually crushed, bludgeoned, shot, stabbed, dismemebered, decapitated, and otherwise “killed.” Multiple human beings are killed with ray guns, their bodies vanishing in a burst of energy. In addition, there are many chases utilizing cars, motorcycles, airplanes, spaceships, rocket packs, and other vehicles, with the expected crashes and explosions resulting. One of the lead characters also dies at the end of the picture.

Loosely and conceptually based on the famed Disneyland attraction, Tomorrowland is that rarest of things: an exciting, action-packed spectacle with an unusually intelligent plot and a meaningful message on the power – and perils – of media…and the importance of hope.

Because of high quality of entertainment and its family-friendly values, the Parents Television Council is proud to award Tomorrowland with the PTC Seal of Approval®. The PTC recommends this movie for viewers over age 10.
